There are so many people living in fear today. Some are in fear of the virus, some are in fear of the vaccine to the virus-deeming it the marker of the antichrist. I will not pretend to know how the end-times will pan out.
Way too many people more gifted than I am, more learned than I am and more mature than I am have been wrong before, and many more will be in this season. One thing I do know however, is there is an assurance of salvation in Christ that is not often spoken of. An assurance that precludes the fear of either the virus or the vaccine. An assurance that contrary to popular belief, means you can be confident of knowing where you stand with God and what your final destination is.
This post is the first in a series. A series that I hope will assure you, and give you confidence to live and be free from fear, and the imaginations of men that all too often run wild and unchecked. For those of us who love the reader’s digest version of a story and struggle with the full length story, my main points are as follow
It is finished. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross has fully paid the price for your sins. It cannot be undone, and perfected or added onto. In the knowledge of this reality, you can find rest for your soul.

- The only thing you need do for salvation is believe in Jesus Christ. That alone is the defining question as to whether or not you are saved.
- The salvation question is not answered when you die. It is answered whilst you are alive. Believe in Jesus, and it is a gift you receive here and now. Heaven, when you die, will be a fruit so to speak.

- No-one and nothing on this planet can snatch you out of Jesus’ hands. Not a vaccine, not your own sin, not your own unbelief. The very premise that a vaccine can make you lose your salvation is tantamount to saying the vaccine is more powerful than the blood of Jesus.

Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing scripture and unpacking what the word of God says along these 4 themes. I encourage you not to take my word alone for it, or to merely be convinced by the argument. The Holy Spirit is here now, and He is here for you and me. To be our friend, our guide and our teacher. Ask Him for wisdom as you read the scriptures, and ask Him to show you the meaning of His words. He is a better teacher than I am and His word is final. Ask Him to reveal what the cross and the resurrection means to you today. He is here for you and He will show you.

I will conclude my post today with an exhortation from the book of Romans, an exhortation that I encourage you to read and meditate on for yourself today. It will lift you out of fear, depression and anxiety and leave you in a place of peace and trust.
Romans 8, vs 1 – 3 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)
1 Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death. 3 For God has done what the Law could not do, [its power] being weakened by the flesh [[a]the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit]. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, [God] condemned sin in the flesh [[b]subdued, overcame, [c]deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice],
Romans 8 vs 1…Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus….

Romans 8, vs 14 – 16 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)
14For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father! 16 The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God.
Romans 8 vs 14: For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Romans 8, vs 31 – 39 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)
1 What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] 32 He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits us?] 34 Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us? 35 Who shall ever separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword? 36 Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors [m]and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things [n]impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, 39 Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
