What if

Hi.

So instead of continuing with the series I introduced in my last post at this moment, I will post something that rang poetically in my heart when a friend of mine said something concerning what I had done and as often the case I found it difficult to believe or accept.

Ever doubted a compliment you have been given?

Or does it often but fly by your mind as too good to be true?

Does your heart fail to grasp when in awe people look at you or what you have done?

Well just for a moment, lets say what if?

What if there are no pretences behind it?

What if it has all been spoken in truth?

What if I really am that good?

What if I really am that significant?

What if I really mean that much to that someone?

What if; just what if?

What if for every compliment you have been given; we say it is the honest truth?

What if all of them have been in honesty and there are no lies behind it?

How would you be looking at yourself today?

Would you have the courage to face your fears head on knowing you could win?

When you looked into the mirror, would you look back at yourself with a smile knowing you are good looking?

When you faced the world would it be with confidence knowing you have it within you to conquer every mountain before you?

If you failed, would you quickly get back on your feet knowing that even if seven times you fall, on eight times you rise again?

Who would you think you are? How would you define yourself?

Beautiful? Good-looking? Intelligent? Strong? Caring? Kind? Supportive? Wise? A great friend? A shoulder to lean on times of need? A winner? A great organiser?

I don’t know, the words are there for you to fill

But the question that now lingers on my mind that I must ask you is this:

What if every compliment, every good word that has been spoken about you has been spoken in truth and that is how you indeed need to look at yourself?

What would your life be if you believed it?

What if: that is the question I have today-what if?
