The language of love (2)

Love I want to continue today has a language both to the loved and from the one who loves. It is a language that is almost like music, that resonates within itself with tones of peace, confidence and freedom and I desire to share a bit more on this.

Love is patient, it is kind,  it is unyielding and it is neverending. Above many things, it seeks and desires what is best for the other over and above what one may desire for themselves and as such, it is neither controlling nor manipulative. It will communicate what it believes to be best but it will not coerce to action but rather will act appropriately based on to whom it is given. In seeking what is best for the other, it is implicit that for the other it will plan and be supportive of plans for joy, it will seek the ultimate prosperity and freedom for the other person.

And if we are honest; love is what we seek. We want to be accepted, so we either seek those who behave like us or we modify ourselves to fit the bill; we want to be around those who encourage us to in what is commonly quoted as to get the best out of life. We want to know that we can be around people around whom we may mess up but who will neither condemn nor always criticize us. We want that someone who because of us will get a spark in their eyes and a spring in their walk because they enjoy being around us. In a simpler manner of speaking, we all want that someone or those people around whom we can be free-for in all honesty, that is the language of love. It gives freedom to the one who receives it to become the best them they could ever be, and if we are to open our eyes we will realise that this is the language with which God has spoken to us.

We are loved before we repent; the price for all our sins is paid even before we were born and His plan is to bring us into family if only we believe in what He has done. All His judgements, He has directed towards whatever interferes with love because ultimately, He wants to see us enjoy life and become the best us that we could ever be.

Oh, if we could see How wide, How deep, How high and how long is the love of God for each and everyone of us how differently would we live our lives.

Selah

Be blessed.
