Is your mind at rest regarding the economy? Regarding the political sphere? Or the future of your family and your children? Is your mind at peace regarding your personal financial situation? Or any debt you may find yourself laden with? If you are not yet married, is your mind at rest regarding the person you will eventually get to marry? Or are you worried perpetually?
As we reflect on the past year and look forward to this one, I hope we can identify moments and periods in time where we can really see when the hand of God moved in our lives and made a difference….
There is wisdom in having a vision and planning for the future. And if we look at our heroes of the faith, they all had a concrete idea of who they were living for and what they wanted to achieve….
If we are not proactive about what our priorities, key goals and aims for life are, we may be more likely to miss them.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. That is what 2 Corinthians 4 verse 16 says. This however is not a natural disposition for many of us. Many of us are like Doctor Strange in infinity war. Except instead of worrying for a moment, this is our permanent state of mind. Inspite of the fact that we know that Jesus says of his yoke, it is easy and that his burden is light.
