Pray for me

In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus asks His disciples to pray with Him and to encourage Him in his hour of trial; In his letter to the Phillipians, Paul prays and asks that that church would pray for him that He would preach with boldness and he ought to and this by no means was an isolated event. Taking therefore this example, my blog today is a prayer request for me, myself and I.
Pray for me because I take a look at myself and I am in danger of slip. Lay aside every sin that so easily entangles us and every weight that we may run so the Bible declares; and thus I do know very well but I am willing but hesitant,  I know I must obey but between the knowledge and the action I find a desire to the contrary and unfortunately that is what I listen to.

With great power comes great responsibility so declares the bible; and a sense of this I do carry but at times I trivialise the Word that has been richly unveiled to me in its proper context for the benefit of me and the Church of Christ: I know what I was born for but I am in danger of living in the opposite direction.

God declares that He causes all things to work together for our good; maybe this is a phase I must pass through but then again it might be the beginning of a steep decline of my life to the point where I base my life on agreeing with the lie of who I am, what I was born for and the picture of success truly is-and I must be honest, I do not know.

But this one thing, may you do for me. Like Paul I stand and say pray from me that I preach the full gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness and love to every man woman and child I meet as I know I ought to. Pray for me that the desire of my heart would be Jesus and His Kingdom alone and that nothing else entice me from the path that I must follow. Pray for me that my life in all totality becomes that which God has designed it to be, with the joy, the peace, the love and the fulfilment of every promise and prophecy He has declared over my life.

In spanish, the words to end this blog that I know are muchas gracious; in my mother tongue which is Shona the words are ndinotenda zvikuru, in Ndebele the words are siyabonga kakhulu.

Thank you.
