No Condemnation

Romans 8:1 declares there is now therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus and my desire and my hope is that as the body of believers we live this.
But before I go far, just maybe a little more clarity on the word condemnation. It is the word Krima in the Hebrew, a word which denotes a sense of punishment, a worthiness to receive a sentencing and it inherently means that one carries a sense of guilt.

We need to realise there is none of it for us because we are in Christ Jesus and as we realise and live it, we need to stop giving it. And I say this because I know most correction and rebuke is not offered from a position of grace but from controlling and manipulative misuse of the word of God.

We as the body of Christ need to get of our high horse of self-righteousness and realise that the only reason people fall into sin and into temptation in the first place is because that thief and liar the devil has deceived them. Fully aware of what God’s perspective is, we will not sin for our Father is a God of love who would have nothing but that we be in peace and in joy and in happiness.

So when we look at sinners, we need to see them as captives of the devil’s deception and in need of the grace of our Father and the embrace of Love that is willing to forgive all sin and I must mention that this is a righteous forgiveness-not because God thought sin was light but because the full punishment of sin was put on Jesus Christ for EVERYONE ALIVE. Whoever you see, whatever they have done or whatever they are doing, Jesus has paid the price for their sin and wants them to be free, to be in joy and in to be in piece.

And as the body of Christ, it would do us well to remember and to live like this and to not condemn those around us.

Be blessed.
