Money and Importance

The way we live today, money plays a huge role. It is the currency of trade by which it is normal to get into a shop and acquire what it is that one wants but out of all this, I have a question for you that I hope will help you to put money in the right place in your life as a tool and not as a master. So my question today is, “Does money make you feel important?”

Do you feel important because you have a certain amount of money in your pocket and therefore that entitles you to think I am better or more relevant than the next person? Whether or not you have it in your pocket, does this change how you consider items you actually want in your life or how confidently you carry yourself?

Because the short answer is it should not. You are a child of God, loved and attended for by the most powerful being in the world-who is in fact all powerful. From this should come your importance, your self worth and all traits of confidence. Because of this one reason, nothing should by any means intimidate you or make your shoulders drop. Money is nothing more than a tool to use for what you need. Just that, like a garden fork for digging in the garden or a hoe for digging.

We need it because it serves a purpose in the realm of earth but it is nothing more than a tool. Our hope, our strength and our glory is in the love of God.

Be blessed.
