A simple, yet profound truth that we get from the word of God in Amos 3, verse 3. A truth whose implications ought to shake the very foundations of unbelief, and leave us eager and expectant to see the hand of God at work in our lives.
I will rephrase this statement for illustration - if what I say about myself or my life or my nation is not the same as what God says, then I am not walking with God.

If God says I am healed (Isaiah 53 vs 5), but I say I am sick- then I am lying, if I say in this area that I am walking with God. If God says I am His righteousness in Christ (2 Cor 5:21); but I am call myself a worthless speck of dust, then I am not walking with God, when it comes to identity.
If God says put off the old man, with his old, sinful lusts (Eph 4:22, Col 3:9-10) and I claim human weakness as an inevitable reality, then I am not walking with God, when it comes to my understanding of who I am as a new man in Christ.
If God never describes poverty as holy, and says in the new testament “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers;” (3 John 2) But I decide in my infinite wisdom, that money is evil (rather than the love of money, 1 Tim 6:10), then I cannot in all earnesty describe any part of my financial journey as a walk or journey with him.
Inorder to walk with God, in the many facets of our lives, we need to agree with him. To agree with him is not to tell him why our opinion or experience is right. To agree with him is not to declare that every single thing that happens is his will or his desire.
He says “My people persih, for a lack of knowledge. (Hos 4:6)” And not because I have in my infinite wisdom sought this for them. He also says “Do you think I like to see wicked people die? No! (Ezekiel 18:23)” – and that in the days of Noah, he repented of why he had created man (Gen 6:6) – becaause the imagination of man had become evil in every way. All of this evidence, that as people with agency, we can act outside of his will and that there are things that happen that he does not desiere.
Even the very fall of man (Gen 3). The instruction, in which was the will of God was clear – do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. So when man ate, and introduced death, sickneess and lack into this world by his disobediendce, it was not the will of God. (Neither is it his today.)
Thus, it is necessary that we learn to discern the Will of God, if we are to walk with Him in our lives. His will is in His Word – His Word that became flesh (John 1), and that Hebrews 1:3 says is the express or perfect image of the Father.
And when we see in His word decrees that do not align with our experience, or existing theology- we allow His word to rewrite the narrative in our hearts. It cannot be overemphasized, that we cannot blaantly ignore or disagree with the express teaching of the Word, and expect to walk with Him in those areas.
Because as He says, “How can two walk together, if they do not agree?
So today, if you want to walk with God, begin to continuously agree with what He says about you, the world and your purpose in His word. gAgree with it, when your physical situation seems to say the opposite.
Agree with him when the mockers and the scoffers mock and chide that you are overzealous, or too spriritual, or they claim you are brainwashed by a western religion.
Agree with Him when the enemy tries to scare you with fears in the middle of the night-with scares that your lineage does not succeed, or is susceptible to diabetes and blood pressure. Agree with His word today, and never look back if at all there is a desire in you to wal with Him and experience the fullness of what He has for you.
Because when you decide to agree with Him, that only what He says about you is permanent, eternal and unchangeable, you will without a shadow of a doubt live a life where you walk with Him.

Despite the bible letting us know the absolute truth, we are guilty of not aligning our thoughts to what your word says. Lord create in me a new heart, bring us to alignment with you rhema.
