Wake up, smell the rain
For a moment, take in that deep breath of fresh air;
Let the gentle caress of the wind and the early morning chill fill your senses
Cast your gaze eastwards, towards the horizon
See the first glimmer of dawn-a few rays breaking forth through the canopy of clouds
And a few moments later
See the resplendent horizon as the morning sun rises to herald another day
It is a lovely new day;
And more than that, a new season for 2014 now is gone and 2015 now is come.
So my friend, Happy New Year
May it be good
May the Lord be with you and may you know what it is to be with him
May you be blessed in your going out and in your coming in;
In the field as well as in the barn
