Condemnation is a strong term, expressing disapproval, punishment, rebuke and unworthiness. It is a word that defines something to be unfit or unqualified for a purpose and speaks of compelling to a sentence. It is formed from the word condemn and in the greek, the root of this is krita which is to sentence to a punishment or prison sentence. Meaning basically, it is the same as the English. For the word condemn, the web dictionary gives synonyms of criticize, censure, denounce, deplore, reprimand, chastise rebuke and a few others. Now knowing this, ought we not then celebrate and rejoice for Romans 1 says we are not condemned because of Christ.
In the law, everyone had a continuous reminder of their sin and unworthiness before God- i.e. they carried a sense of condemnation because anually they shed the blood of bulls and goats which could only atone for the sins of that year, and no other. But now, the Bible says the blood of Jesus is enough to pay the price of our sins. This is a once and for all price, for our sins past, present and future. That one time He died, He has already borne the brunt of every sin you have and you will ever commit. And what He did is enough and in this, He has brought us into a time to not be conscious of our sins and faults, but of the price of His Blood which is enough.
Now because of this blood, before God there is nothing to sentence you, to make you feel unloved and there is no sentencing of you to be worthy of any punishment. Not even 1 declares Romans 8 vs 1. So my friend if you feel unworthy before God or of the presence of God, you are believing a lie. God knew all our shortcomings and to do away with them-for they are a wall between us and him-He Himself made the way in the Blood of Jesus. Its enough and there is no condemnation. It is this revelation that will break down the false filters we have of God and allow us to experience the love out of His heart wherein we will be empowered to walk free of sin, free of shame and as complete victors over the devil and His army.
Brother, sister, if you have accepted the Lord as your saviour, there is no condemnation for you at all.
Kind Regards
