We are taught to identify hearts or intents or the standings of people and societies by their fruits (Matthew 7:16). Surely, if we are to critically look at the fruits of how modern society and the things it exalts are constructed, can we have any doubt that anything not actively spreading Jesus is scattering? Think about what is actively taught in public schools today-evolution, a false equality of all religion, the supremacy of “science” etc. What does that do to the foundations of our faith?

Is your mind at rest regarding the economy? Regarding the political sphere? Or the future of your family and your children? Is your mind at peace regarding your personal financial situation? Or any debt you may find yourself laden with? If you are not yet married, is your mind at rest regarding the person you will eventually get to marry? Or are you worried perpetually?

It is a shame that for many believers, death is bigger saviour than Jesus Christ. Only after death, will there be rest, or peace, or health, or anything good. Only after the last breath will their minds be at ease from torment, worry and depression. And yet, this false humility in life could not be further from where the truth of Jesus Christ and salvation is.

There are so many people living in fear today. Some are in fear of the virus, some are in fear of the vaccine to the virus-deeming it the marker of the antichrist. I will not pretend to know how the end-times will pan out.
Way too many people more gifted than I am, more learned than I am and more mature than I am have been wrong before, and many more will be in this season. One thing I do know however, is there is an assurance of salvation in Christ that is not often spoken of. An assurance that precludes the fear of either the virus or the vaccine.

Some see them as restrictions; but rather than dwell on the excessive fear that death is on my doorstep, why not step into faith and hope and find out what you can do to make the most out of this season….
