God is Faithful – Series Introduction

I have not blogged for a couple of weeks or so now; my bad because I was going through a bit of a shaky path in my own personal life with regards to my life and the vision I have for it and whether or not that lined up with what God has in mind. Thankfully I am over that now, and I am back here doing what I can for the benefit of the body of Christ. Today, I shall be begin to talk about a simple truth that is core to the Christian life and to a life of victory; which is the Faithfulness of God.

I do not know what comes to your mind when you think of the word faithful and what it means. Maybe you think of a faithful friend who has been with you even from your younger days till now and you cherish every moment with them. Maybe you think of a person you bailed out financially out of a hard place and they took the diligence to honour every word they spoke to you and make sure the time they would pay back, they did. Maybe you think of a spouse who though tempted to stray aside remained committed to their marriage bed and today stands with a testimony of having stood the test of time. Many things may come to your mind, all of which are subtle nuances of the word and all of this and more applies when God tells you he is faithful.

Today, I will not be going into the Word deeply but I am laying a foundation with you for you where with which you will be able to trust God to be true to you. The Holy Spirit revealed something to me sometime during the week concerning these things that God reveals to us concerning Himself. What he reveals is not merely for us to look in awe at and tremble; but also so that we would boldly step forward and enjoy of who He is. God is not joy and he would not have you happy; neither is He peace and He would have your life in turmoil nor is He the source of life and He would have you sickly and miserly.

When He declares himself faithful, it is for your benefit my friend and I know that as we go through this, you will be blessed in your relationship with God to have confidence, trust and perseverance through every trial that may come your way. So I invite you to brace yourself and look out as I shall be sharing more of this truth.

Stay blessed.
